UK Docks are inviting Gosport residents and stakeholders to a public consultation, offering a preview of the planned transformation of the historic Rum Store at Victoria Quay.

Pritchard Architecture have been leading on the project for the redevelopment of the Rum Store and are keen to share the proposals with the public and get feedback on the scheme. Funded by the Government’s Levelling Up initiative, the Rum Store’s restoration will include careful conservation of its historical features, alongside the reconstruction of the top floor that was removed following World War II bomb damage. Once complete, the building will feature a new rooftop bar offering panoramic views of Portsmouth Harbour and celebrating Gosport’s maritime history. The Rum Store renovation is projected to create between 150 and 200 new jobs and contribute approximately £11 million to the local economy annually.
